Home Renovation in Hollywood, Florida
Renovating One of the Original Broward Cities
Hollywood goes back to the 1920s, which makes it one of the oldest cities in Broward County - and its housing shows that range. There are early homes around Hollywood Lakes and the downtown streets, waves of mid-century houses further out, and a wall of condos along the beach and the Broadwalk. Each of those needs a different kind of renovation, and we work on all three.
In the older neighborhoods, the goal is usually to modernize without stripping the character people bought the house for: keep the arches and the proportions, replace the tired kitchen, rebuild bathrooms, and quietly update the plumbing and electrical that have been in service for generations.
In the beach condos, the job is different - working within association rules, protecting hallways and elevators, and getting a dated unit to a clean, coastal, current standard.
Two Kinds of Hollywood Projects
For houses: kitchen and bathroom remodels, full interior renovations, flooring, painting and room additions. Pre-1970 homes often carry plaster walls, cast iron drains and older wiring, so we scope those items honestly at the start instead of discovering them mid-project.
For condos: complete unit renovations, kitchen and bath rebuilds, and flooring that meets building sound rules. We handle the association paperwork requirements, elevator scheduling and floor protection, so the process stays smooth with your building manager.
Respect for Old Houses, Comfort With Condo Rules
Not every remodeler enjoys older buildings. We do. Whether it is a 1940s house near the Lakes or a unit ten floors above the Broadwalk, we plan around what makes the property what it is and deliver a finish that fits it.
